Welcome to MahaUtsav (https://utsav.nearestu.com). These Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using our website and the mandal accounts on it. By visiting the website or creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. About the platform
MahaUtsav is a digital platform where Sarvajanik Mandals and community groups in Maharashtra can publish daily darshan, aarti and event updates, and where visitors can discover them. We provide the platform; the content on mandal pages is published by the mandals themselves.
2. Account rules
- Only a person authorised by the mandal may register or manage its account.
- You must provide correct information, including a working mobile number.
- You must choose your own password and a password hint. Keep both private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Do not share your login with people who are not authorised by your mandal. Tell us immediately if you suspect misuse.
- One mandal should have one account. Duplicate or fake accounts may be merged, deactivated or deleted.
3. User responsibilities
- Use the website lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not try to hack, overload, scrape in bulk, reverse engineer or disturb the website or other users.
- Do not use the platform for spam, scams, or misleading advertising.
- Check that dates, timings, addresses and amounts you publish are correct.
4. Content and posting rules
You may post photos, captions, stories (visible for 24 hours) and event details. You must not post content that:
- is unlawful, hateful, abusive, obscene, defamatory or promotes violence;
- insults any religion, community, caste, gender or person, or is likely to create communal disharmony;
- shows private persons, children or others in a way that violates their privacy or without the permission that is required;
- infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights of anyone;
- contains malware, harmful links or false information that may mislead the public;
- is political campaigning or commercial advertising unless we have agreed to it.
We may remove or hide any content, without notice, that breaks these rules or that we are legally required to remove.
5. User-generated content
You own the content you upload. By posting it you give MahaUtsav a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, resize, and distribute it on the website, its feed, search results, share previews and the installed web app, so that the service can work. You confirm that you have the right to post it. Stories automatically disappear from the website 24 hours after they are published. Posts stay until you or an administrator delete them.
6. Third-party services and links
The website may use or link to third-party services such as Google Maps (directions), Google Fonts (typefaces), Instagram (embedded reels and profile links), WhatsApp (click-to-chat), and hosting providers. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Links to other websites are provided for convenience only.
7. Google and API integrations
Where the website uses Google services or other APIs, they are used only to provide the feature you asked for, such as opening a location in Google Maps. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. We do not sell the information you give us to these providers.
8. Advertising and sponsored content
Sponsored banners and announcements are labelled as such. We do not guarantee any advertiser's products or offers.
9. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend, deactivate or delete an account or remove content, with or without notice, if you break these terms, post harmful content, create duplicate accounts, or if the law requires it. You may stop using the platform at any time and may ask us to delete your account.
10. Intellectual property
The MahaUtsav name, logo, design, software and layout belong to the platform owners and may not be copied without permission. Content uploaded by mandals remains the property of the mandals or the original owners.
11. Disclaimer
The website is provided "as is". Timings, schedules and other details are entered by mandals and may change. Please confirm important information with the mandal directly. We do not promise that the website will always be available or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MahaUtsav and its owners are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss caused by content posted by users, or for any loss arising from relying on event information, crowd, travel or safety conditions at any event.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at https://utsav.nearestu.com/privacy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If you continue to use the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Maharashtra will have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
